Comment Manager utilizes the ability to add comments to web contents such as news articles or template articles.
Comments Manager supports News Manager and Template Manager currently.
When you build a LunpaCMS website, you can make one or multiple news pages. You can enable or disable comment feature by each news page. To enable comment feature for a news page, add ::DESCRIPTOR:comment:: tag to desired place in the article template for the page. If you want to disable comment feature from a page, remove the tag from the article template for the page. Please refer News Manager documentation for using article template (article_template).
Comment feature can be enabled or disabled on individual template. To enable comment feature on a template, simply place :::TEMPLATE_COMMENTS::: tag at desired location in the template. This tag will be parsed and replaced with a list of comments and comment add form. If you want to disable comment feature from a template, just remove the tag from the template.
By defailt, a submitted comment needs moderation to be posted. When a new comment is submitted, a moderation notification e-mail will be sent to designated moderator. A moderator comes to comment moderation page, and either approve the comment or delete/reject the comment. The comment will show on the website after approved. If auto moderation map is set to 1, all submitted comments will show on the website without moderation process.
Following maps are used for comment moderation:
A website user can vote to a comment for either "Helpful" or "Not Helpful" only one time. Users are required to login for voting to prevent one person from voting multiple times to a comment. The number from total number of "Helpful" votes subtract total number of "Not Helpful" votes will be used for rating comments when sorting comments.
Also, a user can report a comment for abuse. This abuse report will be e-mailed to a moderator for proper action.
Comment Manager requires jQuery library. Please include desired version of jQuery library to your template.
Example: <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.2/jquery.min.js"></script>

About Lunpa, our mascot. Her mother was a hamster and her father was an ill-tempered Chilean M00se. Oddly, neither smelt of elderberries.
The artist is Jennifer Lomax.
